Leadership Workshop
The Adaptive Leadership Cohort begins with an in-person gathering July 17-20, 2023 at a luxury woodland resort called the Evins Mill in Smithville, Tennessee (evinsmill.com). The workshop starts with dinner on July 17th and concludes after breakfast on the 20th. During the workshop we’ll set the foundation for the cohort’s learning and development together. The schedule includes a combination of cohort activities and personal time to explore the walking trails and grounds of the property.
Additional Guests Policy: Due to constraints of the facility, participants are not able to bring kids to the in-person gathering. However, participants may choose to bring their spouse. Participants who bring a spouse will pay an additional $250 spouse fee to cover added food costs at the resort. Spouses are welcome to join meals and explore the resort grounds. However, only participants will complete the cohort workshop.
Online Resources
Monthly mini-lessons will be available via an online course.
Community of Practice
The cohort will continue to meet via Zoom monthly. These sessions enable ongoing connection, accountability, and learning (August - December 2023). The sessions will be facilitated by Dr. Aaron Einfeld, and will include other guests with expertise in personal resilience strategies, leading teams, and managing organizational change.
Cost
The cost for the entire 6-month cohort experience is $350. Food and lodging for the Adaptive Leadership Workshop are covered by Calvin Seminary. Participants are responsible for the cost of travel to attend the workshop. CTS will provide a shuttle to and from the Nashville airport.
Application Timeline
Christian leaders who are in the midst of implementing a significant change (structure, culture, program, etc.) in their organization are invited to apply to the cohort. This includes leaders in churches, non-profits, schools, and the marketplace.
Space in the cohort is limited to 12 leaders. We will form a diverse cohort of leaders because diversity is a catalyst for deep peer learning. We are seeking applicants from a range of denominational and cultural backgrounds, organizations, settings, and career stages.
